Halloween 2005

Another crappy Halloween. Matthew's friend Jeremy had his bag of candy stolen right in front of the house next door. I got in the car and drove up the street - a group of five or six kids had just crossed Mannington when I pulled up next to them and jumped out. They dropped a bag and took off running before I said a word, so I'm sure it was them. I grabbed the bag and drove back to the house. It was Jeremy's bag but they had already taken most of the candy out of it. They tried to take Tom's bag too but he managed to fight them off.

Last year Matthew had his bag of candy stolen. I'm really starting to dislike Halloween. I'd rather go out instead of hanging around here all night. It used to be fun when the kids were little but now............

Last Bengies Show of 2005

Busy day today. Went to a party at Ron & Carols. We had a good time and would have stayed longer but the boys and I were going to the drive-in later that night - Mike had a carload pass. Man, it was cold. After the movies were over (About 1:00 AM), Jocelyn's car had a thick coating of frost. The movies were good - Flight Plan and Doom. We saw the last part of The Greatest Game - that looked good too. No more Bengies till next spring.
